Robert S. Gillison is an Associate with the firm's Bank and Finance Practice Group in the Los Angeles office. Mr. Gillison represents banks, finance companies, hedge funds and other financial institutions in a broad range of transactions, including cash-flow and asset-based lending transactions, acquisition financings (leveraged buyouts, loan portfolio acquisitions and the financing of tender offers), syndicated loan transactions, senior/junior secured lending transactions, loan restructures (distressed or otherwise), workouts and debtor-in-possession financings, that typically involve multiple credit facilities and borrowers, and include international elements. Mr. Gillison also structures financial transactions that often include complex corporate and tax issues, negotiates their terms, and drafts all necessary documents, including credit agreements, security agreements, guarantees, subordinations and intercreditor agreements.
He is a member of the Commercial Law Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Financial Lawyers Conference and the Commercial Finance Association.
Mr. Gillison received his B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1994. He received his J.D. in 2001 from Loyola Law School, where he externed for The Honorable Nora Manella of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Gillison is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
