Mr. Engelman served as Chairman of the Board of Old MB Financial prior to the MB-MidCity Merger. He joined Old MB Financial (then known as Avondale Financial Corp.) in January 1993 as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director and served as President and Chief Executive Officer until the completion of the merger of Coal City Corporation into Old MB Financial in February 1999. Prior to joining Old MB Financial, Mr. Engelman was the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of University Financial Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiary, First Federal of Elgin, FSA, Elgin, Illinois. Mr. Engelman is a board member of Golub & Company, an international real estate development and investment company. |
