Mr. Gorbold, a litigation partner in the firm, practices out of its Joliet office. He graduated from the John Marshall Law School in 1979, with distinction. While in law school, he participated in an honors program with the Appellate Court. Since entering private practice, he has concentrated his practice in the trial and appeal of civil cases.
Since entering practice, Mr. Gorbold has tried in excess of 50 cases, primarily before juries, including both personal injury and non-injury cases. His personal injury cases have included the representation of defendants in medical malpractice, products liability, general casualty, and construction injury cases. His non-injury cases have included insurance coverage, contract interpretation, commercial accounting, zoning and land use cases. These have involved claims for money damages and injunctive relief. He continues an appellate practice.
Mr. Gorbold practices primarily in state courts throughout northeastern Illinois. He has tried cases and regularly appears before the Circuit Courts of Will, LaSalle, Grundy, Kankakee, Iroquois, Kendall, and Kane counties and the Illinois Appellate Courts. He has also tried cases in Cook, Vermillion and Peoria counties.
