Hello, I'm Bob Kreider, and on July 1, 2004, I became Devereux's new president and chief executive officer and only Devereux's sixth president in our ninety-two years of operations. I feel excited and privileged to be stepping into this role. Ron Burd, Devereux's president over the past two decades, has set a terrific transition plan into place and I thank him and our Board of Trustees for their support and guidance. Because of their thoughtful planning and enthusiasm for our mission we move forward with great optimism.
Devereux is a wonderful organization steeped in a unique history of program innovation and service excellence. At the very center of our many successes are our Devereux staff and their commitment to the often challenging clients we serve. They are the equal of any in the world at delivering outstanding care to the individuals and families with whom we work.
I truly embrace our mission to provide the highest quality programs and services to those that need us most. Our mission and focus are integral parts of Devereux's rich legacy and will continue to be a top priority for me. To accomplish our goals we must communicate well, share knowledge and experience, and take advantage of the wonderful expertise and energy throughout our entire organization.
We must be mindful of our resources and build our base of support in every community in which we operate. We must be excellent fund-raisers in support of our mission. We must have well defined measures of treatment progress and success - and apply those consistently. Our clients deserve the very best that we can do and our services must measure up to our ideals. At Devereux everything we do must start with our clients. |
