Mr. Nees came to the District in 1979 to direct its public affairs program and to work on legislative and regulatory matters. During the ensuing years, he has had responsibility for a wide array of district functions and departments.
In his present capacity, he has primary responsibility for activities related to water rights, supply, allocation, storage and delivery systems, resource development, aquatic studies, river restoration and license compliance. He also is responsible for the District’s regulatory affairs and administers the facilities and operations of the Don Pedro Recreation Agency at Lake Don Pedro.
Mr. Nees holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees from Brigham Young University. He is an accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America and has been active in a variety of state and national water and power organizations. |
