Bobby Le Blanc has led Onex' acquisitions in the healthcare sector, which includes Magellan Health Services, Inc., the leading behavioral managed healthcare organization in the United States. He worked in partnership with Magellan's management team to develop the reorganization plan that significantly improved the company's financial position. In addition, he co-led Onex' equity investment in ResCare, a leading U.S. provider of residential, therapeutic, job training and educational support services.
In early January 2005, Mr. Le Blanc was responsible for the acquisition of Center for Diagnostic Imaging, a leading provider of diagnostic and therapeutic radiology services in the United States. In early February 2005, he also led Onex' acquisition of Emergency Medical Services Corporation, which owns American Medical Response ("AMR"), the largest U.S. provider of ambulance transport services, and EmCare Holdings, the largest provider of outsourced services for hospital emergency department physician staffing and management. Onex formed Emergency Medical Services Corporation ("EMS") as the parent company of AMR and EmCare.
In December 2005, Mr. Le Blanc oversaw Onex' acquisition of Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc., a leading provider of integrated long-term healthcare services through its skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation therapy business, as well as through its other related healthcare services.
In November 2006, he led the US$720 million acquisition of The Warranty Group, one of the world's largest providers of extended warranty contracts. And more recently, he oversaw the US$2.5 billion acquisition of Eastman Kodak Company's Health Group. This business, which operates as Carestream Health Inc., is a leading provider of medical imaging and healthcare information technology solutions. Its offerings include digital x-ray systems, molecular imaging systems and x-ray film, as well as dental imaging products, software and services.
Prior to joining Onex in 1999, Mr. Le Blanc was with Berkshire Hathaway for seven years. He also worked for five years at GE Capital in a variety of positions, including corporate finance and corporate strategy.
Mr. Le Blanc is a director of Magellan Health Services, Inc., Emergency Medical Services Corporation, Res-Care, Inc., Center for Diagnostic Imaging, Inc., Skilled Healthcare Group, Inc., The Warranty Group, Inc., Cypress Insurance, First Berkshire Hathaway Life, and Connecticut Children's Medical Center.
