Robert M. Jelenic has been President and Chief Executive Officer of the Journal Register Company since 1990, and became Chairman of the Board in 1997. He was elected as a director of the Audit Bureau of Circulations in 2003. Admitted to the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1974, Mr. Jelenic began his business career with Arthur Andersen in Toronto, Canada. Mr. Jelenic has 29 years of senior management experience in the newspaper industry, including 12 years with the Toronto Sun Publishing Group. Mr. Jelenic grew up in Subury, Ontario and graduated from Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario with an honors Bachelor of Commerce degree. |
