Mr. Vinton concentrates his practice in the area of financial institution regulatory matters. He has represented clients throughout the Rocky Mountain West for the past 30 years in the purchase and sale of banks and other financial institutions, the chartering and organizing of de novo banks, the development of expanded banking activities, and the defense of banks, as well as officers and directors in bank agency enforcement actions. Mr. Vinton's practice encompasses virtually all the areas involving federal and state regulatory oversight of financial institutions. Prior to entering into the private practice of law, Mr. Vinton served as Regional Counsel for the Office of Comptroller of the Currency. As Regional Counsel based in Denver, Colorado he had the primary legal regulatory responsibility for all national banks located in Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming and New Mexico. Mr. Vinton is a native of Manchester, Connecticut. He enjoys travel and sports activities with his wife, Beth, and their three sons, especially golf, tennis and skiing, as well as reading and oil painting. While in law school, he was voted Amateur Athlete of the Year for the United States Southeastern Region. |
