Robert M. Neumeister, Jr. has more than 30 years experience in the telecommunications industry, including extensive senior executive experience. Currently, Mr. Neumeister serves as the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Linux Networx, a privately held firm in the high performance computer sector.
Prior to Linux, Mr. Neumeister served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for Dex Media LLC, the nation's third largest Yellow Pages publisher. As one of the top executives responsible for spinning off the company from Qwest, his leadership enabled Dex Media to achieve $11 billion in total capitalization from a $1.5 billion cash investment.
Previously, Mr. Neumeister oversaw two start-up companies as chief financial officer. Mr. Neumeister has held financial leadership positions at Nortel, Sprint PCS and, most recently, Intel as vice president of finance.
In addition, Mr. Neumeister served as chief financial officer at Sprint PCS and was responsible for establishing the core infrastructure and funding during the start-up phase of the company. He previously served as vice president of finance at Northern Telecom, LTD; senior vice president and chief financial officer at Motorola Nortel Communications Co.; and vice president of finance and information systems at Northern Telecom Canada.
Mr. Neumeister currently serves on the boards of Symmetricon, Inc. in San Jose, Calif., and VA Software Corporation in Fremont, Calif.
Mr. Neumeister received a BA in Economics and English from Vanderbilt University and an MBA in General Management from the University of Virginia. |
