Dr. Kay has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Origen since 1998. he has been instrumental in the start up of several biotechnology companies, most recently Atairgin Biotechnologies where he was co-founder and is the past Chairman of the Board of Directors and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board. From 1989 to 1995 Dr. Kay served as Vice President, Research and Development at GenPharm International where he was responsible for technology and product development strategy and leadership applying GenPharm's gene transfer and gene targeting technology. From 1985 to 1988 Dr. Kay served as the Head of Research Planning at Genetics Institute where he was responsible for the identification, assessment, design and introduction of new research programs and products for the company. Dr. Kay is an author on numerous scientific publications and is an inventor on 20 issued patents. |
