Investment Management
Robert Chender is a member of Seward & Kissel’s Investment Management Group. He joined the firm as Counsel in 2008.
Mr. Chender advises clients on numerous issues relating to the formation and on-going operation of private investment funds (domestic and offshore), separately managed accounts, SEC and state registered investment advisers, and broker dealers. He has extensive experience in various compliance issues including fund placement, soft dollars, performance advertising, trading and allocation practices, best execution, and general corporate and securities matters.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Chender acted as general counsel to both registered and unregistered investment advisers managing numerous private investment funds as well as institutional and private accounts, and also served as general counsel to an institutional broker-dealer. Until joining the firm he was licensed as a General Securities Principal (series 24).
Mr. Chender received a B.A. from Vassar College and a J.D. from the New York University School of Law. |
