Colonel Robert L. Suthard, Jr. (U.S. Army, Ret.) held numerous senior command assignments during a distinguished 28-year career in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). At the time of his retirement in July 2007, COL Suthard was the commander of the USACE Transatlantic Programs Center, which is responsible for providing engineering, construction, and related services in the Middle East and Africa.
COL Suthard’s USACE career included Commander of the Tulsa Army Corps District and Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff for the Omaha District. COL Suthard also served for two years as a professor of military science at the Virginia Military Institute (VMI).
COL Suthard is a graduate of VMI. He earned a masters of engineering administration from George Washington University and a masters of science in national resource strategy from the National Defense University. |
