Robert L. Lane is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Kaplan, Inc. Lane joined Kaplan as Controller in 1994. In his current role as CFO, Lane oversees all of Kaplan's financial operations. During his tenure, Lane has led efforts to improve Kaplan's financial functions, and to establish efficiencies that have resulted in improved operating results. Since 1994, Kaplan has expanded from $80 million in revenue to nearly $1.7 billion in 2006.
Prior to joining Kaplan, Lane was Vice President and Controller at the Children's Television Workshop. Previously he held various positions including General Auditor and Accounting Manager at the US subsidiary of the Royal Dutch Shell Group. He began his career with Arthur Andersen & Co.
Lane is a CPA and has an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame. |
