As vice president for consulting, Rob Baird assists institutions with enrollment and net revenue management. His areas of responsibility include enrollment consulting, strategic financial aid management, and using predictive modeling for student recruitment.
Mr. Baird has consulted with more than 50 public and private campuses on enrollment management and planning, maximizing the impact of financial aid on student enrollment, and resource management. His work has helped institutions increase net revenue, increase enrollment, raise academic profile, and reduce discount rates, including:The New York Institute of Technology, which raised net revenue by $6 million, increased the average SAT score of incoming freshmen by 45 points, and increased enrollment by 77 percent between 2001-2004. The University of Tampa (FL), which increased enrollment by 33 percent while also reducing its discount rate by 5.4 percent and raising the average SAT score of incoming freshmen by 36 points (between 2001-2005). Rockhurst University (MO) which increased enrollment by 44 percent while also raising average SAT and ACT scores.
Previous campus experience
Prior to joining Noel-Levitz, Mr. Baird served for 15 years in a variety of on-campus enrollment management roles at Coe College (IA). In his most recent post at that institution, he was director of financial aid and associate dean of admissions. While at Coe, he was instrumental in bringing the college's selective enrollment to an all-time high while stabilizing financial aid expenditures and discount rates.
Awards and education
During his career in higher education, Mr. Baird has been a member of several state and national organizations. He has also received a distinguished service award from the Iowa Association of College Admission Counselors.
