Mr. Schacter is a founder of the firm and brings with him over 20 years of investment banking and securities industry experience. Prior to forming Reedland in 1998, Mr. Schacter began his investment career in 1983 at Paine Webber, Inc., where he became one of the youngest satellite office managers in the firm's history, assisted with private placement transactions for a number of the country's pioneer biotechnology companies and traded those securities for his clients in the secondary market. In 1986, Mr. Schacter joined Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. as Vice President of Retail Sales. Four years later, he joined Wharton Capital as Senior Vice President, where he was responsible for securing secondary debt and raising equity capital for oil and gas industry companies. In 1991, Mr. Schacter became Vice President of Sales at Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for servicing and managing institutional bond accounts. Prior to forming Reedland in 1998, Rob was a Managing Director at Shoreline Pacific Institutional Finance, where he was responsible for originating and helping structure & negotiate more than $750 million in private equity financings for publicly-listed emerging growth companies.
