RJ joined McDonough Holland & Allen PC in 2005. He is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, where he focuses on business and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts. RJ represents secured and unsecured creditors in connection with the protection and enforcement of creditors’ rights, both before and during bankruptcy, as well as the defense of lender liability and other business tort actions. He also routinely handles litigation involving contract disputes, real estate investments, and conflicts arising from partnership, LLC, trust/beneficiary and other fiduciary relationships. His experience covers all forms of alternative dispute resolution as well as all stages of pre-trial litigation, trials and appeals for both business and individual clients.
A graduate of UCLA, RJ studied and worked as a research assistant under Professor Kenneth N. Klee, one of the principal draftsmen of the Bankruptcy Code and a preeminent bankruptcy practitioner and scholar. He is a native Sacramentan and in 2004 was part of McDonough’s summer associate program.
