Bob Showman brings 25 years of successful marketing, sales, business development and executive management experience to API. He has held executive marketing and sales positions with emerging technology companies including performance monitoring, hosting and managed services, highly available and high performance computing systems, and Internet content delivery firms. He has been instrumental in numerous successful financing and liquidation events, and has been an early round investor in several technology companies. Showman started his sales and marketing career at HP where he led a team that sold HP software and high performance computing products primarily to DOD accounts. He left HP as the number one sales representative in America to join the executive management team at Solbourne Computer where he ran their effort to market and sell Oracle database and applications, and high performance computing solutions. Showman then co-founded Cirque Labs, a performance monitoring company, as the vice president of Marketing and Sales. His other engagements included executive marketing and sales management positions at managed services firms eManage.com, Latis Networks and Managed Storage International. He also headed up business development at Netdelivery, an Internet content delivery firm whose technology was used by Canada Post to create the world’s first electronic post office. Prior to API, Mr. Showman was the SVP and general manager of Linux data replication company Radiant Data. Showman graduated from Pennsylvania State University with High Distinction in Computer Systems Engineering. |
