Robert oversees all areas related to IT and Communications, including application development, database development and networking. As Vice President of SkillsNET Innovations, Robert is responsible for the vision, architecture, design and implementation of the next generation of SkillsNET products. Mr. Landis spent 10 years practicing as an Electrical Engineering, working for Texas Instrument, Electrospace Systems Inc, and Chrysler Technologies Airborne Systems. In 1991 he was recruited as a Lead Electrical Design Engineer and Deputy Group Lead position for the Superconducting Super Collider project (a physics related scientific project funded by the US Department of Energy). Upon de-funding of the SSC project, and having education and experience in software development, Robert transitioned into the field of IT. Bringing the rigor, creativity, structure, documentation and integrity of complex hardware and system design into the field of software development, he quickly captured the attention of technology leaders, consulting the next nine years for clients such as Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, Fox Sports Networks, Sabre, RIA Thompson and many others. Mr. Landis holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering (with minors in Math, Computer Science and Physics) from Geneva College and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. |
