Robert J. Leroux was named Cleveland-Cliffs’ vice president finance in October 2007. He is responsible for coordinating the Company’s financial activities in Latin America and Asia-Pacific as well as leading the financial integration of Cliffs’ newly acquired metallurgical coal operations and serving as financial liaison to Cliffs’ current and future international joint-venture partners.
Mr. Leroux began his career with Cleveland-Cliffs in 1975 as an accountant. He has held a number of management positions both at Cliffs’ corporate headquarters and at the Company’s mining operations in Michigan and Minnesota. He was named assistant controller in 1994 controller in 1997 vice president and controller in 2001 and vice president finance in 2007.
Mr. Leroux earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration and accounting from Northern Michigan University and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace College. He is a member of the National Mining Association the American Iron and Steel Institute Financial Executives International and the Institute of Management Accountants and serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland. |
