Robert Campbell, vice president and chief learning officer, joined Cerner Corporation in February 1996. Campbell is the founder and leader of Cerner KnowledgeWorks. The mission of Cerner KnowledgeWorks is to dramatically improve the human performance of Cerner’s associates, clients, and business partners. Cerner KnowledgeWorks applies leading-edge learning theory, technology and best practices in content management to meet these needs. Campbell has 20 years experience in learning & development, instructional technology, and knowledge management.
Prior to joining Cerner, Mr. Campbell began his career with Andersen Consulting Education, where he focused on creating unique and highly effective learning solutions for Andersen consultants. Included in this period were 2 years at the Institute for the Learning Sciences, an interdisciplinary organization affiliated with Northwestern University that draws from the fields of cognitive psychology, education, and computer science to develop new models for learning. Rob also worked at AT&T GIS (now NCR) where he built a Performance Improvement team focused on improving organizational results through the effective use of knowledge management, virtual learning, goal-based scenarios, and performance support systems.
Campbell has a Masters Degree in Computer Science with a double emphasis of Artificial Intelligence and Educational Software Design from Northwestern University and holds an undergraduate degree in Communications with an emphasis of Human Resource Development from Brigham Young University. |
