Bob is presently a financial business consultant, having retired from his position as senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Estée Lauder Companies in December 2000. As chief financial officer of this $6 billion sales multinational, he was responsible for global finances, including internal and external reporting, strategic planning, treasury, taxation, internal audit, operations finance and investor relations. He also managed the Company’s initial public offering and subsequent offerings. Bob joined Estée Lauder in 1975 and held various positions within corporate finance until 1986, when he became senior vice president/controller of the international division. In 1992, he was appointed senior vice president and chief financial officer of the corporation. Prior to joining Estée Lauder, he spent six years with Peat, Marwick Mitchell & Company (KPMG) progressing to manager in the audit department. Bob is a graduate of St. John's University, Magna Cum Laude. He is a certified public accountant, and a member of several professional accounting organizations, as well as the Economic Club of New York and the Financial Executives Institute. He served as a member of the Corporate Advisory Board’s Working Council for Chief Financial Officers and has presented at the CFO Rising symposium. Bob was appointed to the National Board in October 2003 and is serving a second term as vice-chair of the Board, is the Treasurer of the organization and chairs the Audit & Finance Committee. He previously served as board chair of the Suffolk County, N.Y. chapter. He presently serves on the advisory boards of the Suffolk County, NY and New Mexico chapters. Additionally, Bob is a member of the Finance Committee of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation headquartered in New York City and a member of the Board of Directors of The Anderson Schools of Management Foundation at the University of New Mexico.
