Mr. Higel serves as our Chief Operations Officer. He is responsible for products and services, computer operations, bank operations and the generation of electronic payment income. Prior to joining Florida Capital Bank, Mr. Higel served as Senior Operations Officer of Florida Banks from May 1999 until its acquisition in July 2004. Before his association with Florida Banks, Mr. Higel served as the Chief Financial Officer of SunTrust of Volusia County and was the Chief Financial Officer of BankAmerica/Barnett for several consumer lending units. He began his banking career in 1979 with Atlantic Bank where he worked in branch operations and was an Audit Manager. Mr. Higel graduated from the University of Florida where he received his bachelors degree in Accounting. Mr. Higel is a certified public accountant and also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. |
