Robert Izmirian is the former Chair of the San Francisco office's Financial Solutions Practice Group. His broad commercial practice includes all aspects of debtor/creditor law, workouts, problem loan restructuring, bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy reorganizations.
Mr. Izmirian has lectured on matters dealing with bankruptcy and reorganization, including the bankruptcy aspects of intellectual property rights, letters of credit, corporate management and liability, lender liability, municipal bond finance and landlord rights. He has also lectured on industry reorganization issues in the wine, health, high technology lending and venture capital industries.
Mr. Izmirian is a member and former Chair of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco. He is a member and past President of the San Francisco Bank Attorneys Association. He is also past member and past Chair of the Committee of Lawyer Representatives of the United States Bankruptcy Court of the Northern District of California.
Mr. Izmirian received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in 1968 and his J.D. from Boalt Hall School of Law in 1972. He is a participating member of the Bankruptcy Dispute Resolution Panels of the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern District of California, and regularly acts as a mediator in commercial and bankruptcy related disputes.
