Bob La Blanc is President of Robert E. La Blanc Associates, Inc., information technologies consulting and investment banking firm. Before that, he was Vice Chairman of Continental Telecom, Inc., a diversified telecommunications company, and a General Partner at Salomon Brothers, where he founded the Telecommunications Team and was voted leading Wall Street telecommunications industry analyst in Institutional Investor’s annual surveys from 1973-1978. Mr. La Blanc is a director of Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd., Computer Associates International, Inc., FiberNet Telecom Group, Inc., Storage Technology Corp., Titan Corp., and over ninety Prudential Mutual Funds. He is Chairman of the Advisory Board of Edelson Technology Partners and a director of Norwood Venture Corp. Previously, Mr. La Blanc was a director of Contel Cellular, Inc., European American Bank, M/A-COM, Inc., Salient Three Communications Inc., Storage Technology Corp., TIE/communications, Inc., American Satellite Corporation, Network Analysis Corporation, and Tribune Co. He was a founding Director of the Catholic Telecommunications Network of America, Inc. Mr. La Blanc holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree from Manhattan College and an MBA from New York University, and is a graduate of an extensive technical training program at the Bell Telephone Laboratories. He is a four term Trustee and former Vice-Chair of Manhattan College, which awarded him a Doctorate of Humane Letters, honoris causa, in 1997. |
