He is a senior advisor to Apax Partners, Inc., a $13 billion private equity company and has had a long and distinguished career in the publishing industry. He spent ten years with The McGraw-Hill Companies, rising to President of McGraw-Hill Education, the educational publishing unit of the company. He held various posts at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Inc, from 1985 to 1992, including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Evanson graduated St. John’s University and earned an MBA from New York Institute of Technology. He is a member of the boards of directors of Cadmus Communications, Inc., Public Education Needs Civic Involvement, Pace University’s Center for Downtown New York and Pace University’s Publishing Advisory Board.
