Hildebrand has degrees in geological engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and business management from La Salle University. He has more than forty years of international experience in exploration, mining engineering, mine production, economic evaluation of mining properties and management of mine-mill operations. Hildebrand has worked for Union Carbide as a mining engineer involved in feasibility studies and economic analyses of mine development and production. He acted as a consultant to Gulf Oil, General Electric and other international corporations. In 1970 Hildebrand founded and was president of Polaris Resources. Since 1996 he has been vice president of Environmental Assurance Corporation. In 1980, Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands appointed him Honorary Consul for Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming. He served in this capacity for 11 years and was appointed a Knight in the Order of Oranje Nassau. |
