Mr. Wenthold develops reimbursement planning and commercialization strategies for US and international clients with novel and early stage biopharmaceutical, medical device, and in vitro diagnostic technologies. He collaborates with public and private payer policy decision makers, physicians, hospital buyers, laboratory executives and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential reimbursement barriers, and to develop strategies to facilitate broad product market access. He also works with European and Asian in vitro diagnostic and drug companies to assess US market entry options. His experience working with emerging technologies spans many clinical areas including oncology, diabetes, and various infectious diseases. Prior to joining Boston Healthcare Associates, Mr. Wenthold was a Senior Associate at Covance, where he performed economic market analyses in the biopharmaceutical industry. Mr. Wenthold also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP where he designed and implemented business processes to optimize third party reimbursement for health systems. Prior to consulting, he worked in an anatomic pathology research lab as an Intramural Training Research Award fellow at the National Institutes of Health. Mr. Wenthold holds an MS in Public Health from Tulane University and a BS in Biology from James Madison University. |
