Rob Lee is the managing director in the Lake Oswego, Oregon office of Bates Private Capital, an LECG company, where he uses his legal and accounting background to consult on matters involving securities litigation. Those consulting services include the financial analyses prepared as part of the litigation process, as well as testifying to the validity of the analyses. Mr. Lee has been retained as a consultant and testified for a variety of clients before the NASD and NYSE, including the New York Stock Exchange Enforcement Division, various Wall Street brokerage firms and claimants' counsels. In addition, he oversees the overall business activities and operations of Bates.
Prior to the acquisition by LECG, Mr. Lee served as the president of Bates Private Capital, a firm that provided brokerage firms' counsel and customers with litigation consulting, financial analysis, market trend research, and expert witness testimony primarily for securities matters. Prior to that, Mr. Lee was the chief financial officer for the Portland Provision Company, where he managed treasury function duties in a volatile commodities market. He was also responsible for corporate legal matters, as well as overseeing the accounting department.
Additionally, Mr. Lee was a manager in the entrepreneurial services group and tax department for Ernst & Young, where he provided tax, financial and strategic planning services to corporate and emerging businesses, and represented taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service and the Oregon Department of Revenue. |
