Rob has more than 20 years of experience in a wide array of Information Technology areas. He has been using and consulting on Business Intelligence tools for over 7 years. Prior to joining the John Daniel team, Rob held a variety of positions at General Electric, Contel Information Systems, and Intelsat, as well as doing independent consulting.
During his career, he has worked on a number of different operating systems, including Unix and Windows platforms. He has programmed in languages from assembler to Pascal, C++, perl and VB, just to name a few. He has worked with a number of database environments, including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MS Access, having designed database schemas in addition to accessing existing schemas. Rob's application experience runs the gamut from database entry and reporting for financial institutions to real-time telemetry processing for telecommunications satellite systems.
Rob's experience in Business Intelligence encompasses data mart design and implementation, enterprise reporting and analysis (OLAP) and data mining, all using the full range of Cognos BI tools.
In addition to his technical experience, Rob has held management, leadership, and consulting positions. All of this combines with his unique problem solving skills to give him a broad foundation from which to guide the John Daniel technical team in understanding client's business and developing solutions. |
