Mr. Kellogg is also a founding principal of Highlands Strategic Advisors, LLC, an independently owned public policy consulting firm based in Denver which advises pension funds, investment professionals and non-profit groups on capital campaigning, shareholder initiatives and engagement of portfolio companies. Mr. Kellogg regularly advises pension fund fiduciaries on matters concerning proxy voting and corporate governance and is a frequent speaker at investment conferences and industry associations on general capital stewardship themes.
Prior to joining JMR Financial, Mr. Kellogg was based in Washington, D.C. where he served in a number of positions at Institutional Shareholder Services Inc. (ISS). From 2005-2007, Mr. Kellogg served as managing director of global research and policy where his primary responsibilities included coordinating global policy formation, representing the company’s research unit in the media and on industry panels and serving as deputy chair of the firm’s global policy board. From 2001-2005, he served as director of Taft-Hartley Advisory Services at ISS.
Mr. Kellogg has over 12 years experience in public policy working in both the private and non-profit sectors. Before joining ISS, Mr. Kellogg was a consultant to the Coordinated Bargaining Committee (CBC) in Washington DC, a collective bargaining coalition of affiliate unions of the AFL-CIO. |
