Rob Goudswaard is Managing Director of Regional, Rural and Small Business Banking. Rob joined ANZ as a Graduate, spending his first years in the branch network before moving to personnel and then to ANZ’s International business. In his career with ANZ, Rob has worked in Bahrain with Grindlays Bahrain Bank as Corporate Accounts Manager, and as a Relationship Manager in Commercial Banking in Melbourne. In 1992 he was appointed General Manager ANZ Solomon Islands, and was later appointed General Manager ANZ Grindlays Oman. Upon returning to Australia, Rob took up the position of Regional Executive Corporate Banking Waverley Region. Following this, he was Chief Operating Officer for Small to Medium Business before being appointed General Manager Personal Banking Asia and Pacific. He became Managing Director Small Business Banking in 2004 and commenced his present role as Managing Director Regional, Rural and Small Business Banking in 2006. Rob is an alumnus of the London Business School and Melbourne Business School and a fellow of the Williamson Leadership Community Program. He holds a Bachelor of Economics from Latrobe University and postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance from RMIT.
