Rob is a business strategy consultant with Milliman’s European insurance practice and is currently responsible for Milliman Spain and the Dublin and Luxembourg cross-border markets. He joined Milliman in 2005.
Experience
Prior to joining Milliman, Rob had 18 years of experience in the life insurance industry, mainly with Aviva and its subsidiaries. Immediately prior to joining Milliman, he created and headed Aviva’s Luxembourg subsidiary, Commercial Union International Life, for six years, which focused on selling cross-border into the Nordic and Benelux markets. Prior to this he held a number of roles with Aviva (previously CGU and Commercial Union), including financial director of the Luxembourg fund management companies, deputy life manager in Spain, and strategy or financial management roles in Europe and Latin America.
Rob has extensive experience of the Norwegian, Spanish, and Swedish markets and the Dublin and Luxembourg cross-border business into other European countries. His knowledge includes product and distribution development and taxation of financial products in European markets.
Rob has performed a wide range of business consulting missions for a variety of clients, including major European insurers and cross-border companies in both Dublin and Luxembourg. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, financial management, and product development, as well as strategic consulting.
Rob is fluent in English and Spanish, and speaks French.
