Rob Blaskowsky was appointed Vice President and Chief Information Officer in August 2005. Blaskowsky is responsible for setting worldwide information technology initiatives and developing processes to support our global employee, vendor and customer base. His organization provides the development and maintenance of all business application systems used throughout the enterprise. He has responsibility for worldwide information technology infrastructure including computing services, voice, data, and video networks, local area networks, and desktop services.
Blaskowsky brings to Tektronix 19 years experience in information technology management, most recently as Vice President and CIO for Merant/Serena where he was responsible for Merant’s information technology infrastructure. Prior to joining Merant/Serena, he worked for Niku Corporation as Vice President and CIO, and for Tektronix, where he served as the Information Systems Director for the Color Printing and Video Networking Divisions from 1995-2000. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated leadership in delivering world-class information technology solutions that drive effective and efficient business results. He has extensive experience in building and leading teams in a high-performance environment.
Blaskowsky holds a master’s of business administration from Santa Clara University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington. He was also named one of Portland Business Journal’s Forty under 40 in 2004 and received the CIO 100 Award Masters of Customer Innovation in August 2000. |
