Rixio Medina is responsible for overseeing CITGO's health services safety information and corporate security and environmental protection functions. Medina also oversees the information technology and corporate services departments and is responsible for ensuring they provide efficient reliable services.
Since joining CITGO in 1992 Medina has served as manager corporate health safety and security manager of health and safety at the Corpus Christi Refinery and the Lake Charles Manufacturing Complex and manager corporate process safety management. In 2003 Medina left CITGO to serve as a presidential appointee on the U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board in Washington D.C. He then returned to CITGO in August 2004.
Medina is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in engineering technology fire protection and safety and Central Missouri State University with a master's degree in industrial security. He is a Certified Safety Professional in Comprehensive Practice and a Certified Protection Professional Board Certified in Security Management. |
