Rick Strom is Vice President of the TeleworX Network Engineering Practice. He has 18 years experience in wireless and high-tech companies, focusing on developing and deploying new technology. Prior to joining TeleworX, Rick was the Vice President of Professional Services at SOMA Networks, a pre-WiMAX equipment provider. While at SOMA Networks, he led the delivery of business and technical services worldwide, created a global managed services strategy for the company, and formed local partnerships in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Additionally, Rick developed and managed the back office operations for AirClic as the VP of Business Operations, leveraging his experience running IT for Omnipoint. While at Omnipoint, he also ran the technical operations for the Mid-Atlantic region, including the design, build, and operation of the network. Before that, he held various technical management positions at Primeco Communications and Mannesmann Mobilfunk, both as an AirTouch Communications employee. This included the deployment of both GSM and CDMA technologies during their infancy. Rick holds Bachelor and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Missouri-Rolla and an MBA from The Wharton School. |
