A co-founder of VeraSun Energy in 2001 Rick Eggebrecht became Vice President of Market Development in January 2007. Mr. Eggebrecht led the development and implementation of VeraSun’s unit train business strategy as well as the Company’s efforts in direct marketing and sale of ethanol. Mr. Eggebrecht continues to lead the efforts to expand the availability of VE85 VeraSun's branded E85 and to implement other strategic initiatives relating to market access and new markets for ethanol.
Prior to being named Vice President Mr. Eggebrecht held the position of Director of Marketing and Sales from June 2001 to November 2006. During that time he initiated the successful development and launch of VE85 the nation's first branded E85 fuel that is now available at more than 90 stations throughout the Midwest and Pennsylvania. Eggebrecht has been instrumental in VE85 education and awareness and in developing VeraSun’s relationships with major automakers for the promotion of E85 and flexible fuel vehicles.
Mr. Eggebrecht a Wausau WI native graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University with a BS in business administration and a minor in marketing. |
