Rick Allen was managing director of the EBA Group in Hong Kong for 10 years. During this period he grew the agency’s business from a small team of 12 to over 50 staff with four offices in Hong Kong and China. In developing the business, he provided senior counsel to clients, including market entry strategy for companies entering the region for the first time. Previously, he accrued 23 years' experience in the technology sector in both Europe and Asia. He started his career at Burroughs (now Unisys) in London where he spent 13 years in software development. He then worked with two successive Silicon Valley start-ups, having European roles including technical support, sales and marketing. He moved to Hong Kong in 1992 to join another Silicon Valley computer systems company (Pyramid Technology) as sales and marketing director where he had responsibility for Southeast Asia and India. A Canadian, Rick studied mathematics, physics and computer science at the University of British Columbia. |
