Richards Gordon, partner in Major, Lindsey & Africa's Boston office, practiced law for several years before co-founding Bickerton & Gordon in 1988. Bickerton & Gordon merged with MLA in late 2004 at which time Dick became a partner in MLA's Boston office. Early in his legal career he was at Parker, Coulter, Daley & White and later joined Wayne, Lazares & Chappell, where he became a corporate and real estate partner. Before entering law practice in the mid 1980's, Dick was a commercial loan officer with the former Bank of New England. He is also a former secondary school English teacher and coach, having taught at two top Connecticut schools in the late 1970s. Immediately after graduating from Middlebury College in 1975, Dick was a newspaper reporter for a top Vermont weekly. He was on the varsity hockey and golf teams at Middlebury.
Dick has written several articles and has been a regular participant in various legal recruitment seminars. He is regarded as one of the top legal recruiters in the U.S. and has been particularly successful with clients in the mutual fund and investment market.
