Richard Sorenson is a director in the Lake Oswego, Oregon office of Bates Private Capital, an LECG company, where he uses his retail brokerage securities expertise to provide consulting on account performance and analysis, asset allocation, employment and recruiting, compliance, supervision, branch office administration, and sales practices. Before joining LECG, Mr. Sorenson provided expert testimony and consulting services for Bates Private Capital Incorporated, a firm specializing in litigation consulting, financial analysis, market trend research, and expert witness testimony for securities and other financial-related matters.
Mr. Sorenson is also a senior vice president in the Portland, Oregon office of UBS Financial Services PaineWebber. Over the past 18 years, he has been the manager for the state of Oregon responsible for retail brokerage services, institutional sales and operations and has supervised over 120 financial advisors and a staff of 50. His branches have managed over six billion dollars for thousands of households all over the United States.
Mr. Sorenson began his professional career with several academic institutions, including Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon as the executive vice president of administration, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was the assistant to chairman for four years and the associate dean of students for nine years, and the University of Oregon. |
