Richard Shalowitz serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager of DBC and SS&C's New York office. He joined SS&C in 2002 when the company acquired the DBC municipal finance business from Thomson Financial. Mr. Shalowitz has been part of the DBC organization for over 8 years, maintaining a leadership role through two separate acquisitions. He held senior level positions when DBC was a private company, including Chief Operating Officer. In 2000, Thomson Financial purchased DBC and Mr. Shalowitz became an Executive Vice President of a Thomson division with expanded responsibility for four additional businesses. Before joining DBC, Mr. Shalowitz spent several years as a municipal bond broker, and prior to that held senior level positions in the health care industry. Mr. Shalowitz has an undergraduate degree from Beloit College and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
