Richard "Rick" Reyes, Jr. is a 20-year, retired law enforcement veteran. As a former police officer and detective of the LAPD, he worked a variety of specialty assignments including the Under Water Dive Unit, Narcotics, Vice and the Anti-Terrorist Divisions. During his tenure he was the recipient of numerous awards, decorations and unit citations. Rick earned an Instructor accreditation from the International Association of Chiefs of Police and provided formal instruction in many disciplines.
Rick’s aviation background helped serve him as a sales consultant within the aerospace industry. As a national sales manager, specializing in government contracts, Rick was credited for a 200% increase in domestic and International sales during a two year period.
In 2003, Rick joined Silver State Helicopters while researching expansion efforts into the Southern California market. Rick has now served as general manager, regional manager, Vice President and currently Chief Operations Officer. In this role he oversees all aspects of the 30+ flight training campuses with nearly 3,000 employees and students and 200 aircraft across the U.S with additional training programs and expansion efforts in development. Rick serves on Silver State Helicopters’ Executive Committee as well as the company’s Sheriffs Airborne Law Enforcement (SABLE) committee. He is an associate member of the Airborne Law Enforcement Association (ALEA). Rick is an FAA certificated helicopter pilot with flight experience in every model of the company’s current fleet of Bell, MD, EC and Robinson Helicopter aircraft. |
