Rick Layman first became a part of Project Light around 1985. He helped with some of the early concepts of putting the literacy program onto Laser Disk. He then went as a missionary to Taiwan for 12 years. In 1998 Rick returned to Project Light as a Multimedia Developer and then as Executive Director for several years. In 2004 Rick and his family returned to Taiwan for two years and upon his return in late 2005, Rick joined the Project Light Board of Directors. Today, Rick continues to serve on the Board of Directors and works several days a week as the Director of Software and Development for Project Light. He is also an IT Director for a prominent Christian school and an active member of Kempsville Presbyterian Church, where he and his family have attended for more than 20 years. |
