Prior to joining ProCure, Mr. Katz worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. for 18 years, most recently as a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager of the High Yield Distressed Investing Desk in the Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities Division. In that role, Mr. Katz co-managed a $2 billion gross market value portfolio of corporate bonds, public and private equities, loans and credit derivatives, centered in deep fundamental analysis of companies undergoing significant financial changes. Among Mr. Katz’s prior positions at Goldman, Sachs & Co., he specialized in financing the communications industry from 1994-2000. He pioneered the development of the senior secured financing market for sectors of that industry, including the development of a resale market for credit provided by network equipment vendors. Mr. Katz’s other roles at Goldman, Sachs & Co. included developing portfolio management infrastructure for the extension of credit to investment banking clients; structuring and executing complex private debt placements; and analyzing new capital markets products. Mr. Katz graduated summa cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics and was a member of phi beta kappa. |
