Richard Freund has specialized in providing comprehensive financial, taxing and accounting solutions to a wide variety of industries for over 20 years, with specific expertise in cash flow analysis, asset-based financing, inventory management, human resources management, production efficiency and cost control. Rich is particularly skilled in developing cost accounting systems and manufacturing models to improve the operational efficiency of financially troubled companies.
Before joining Focus Management Group, Rich served as Controller for two manufacturing and construction companies operating under the same ownership, where he was responsible for all functions relating to accounting, taxing, finance and human resources. During his role as Controller, Rich implemented a perpetual inventory system that significantly increased operating efficiency and reduced working capital costs. Rich has also implemented project cost accounting systems, developed scheduling programs, created financial models for management, and instituted sales commission plans to improve profitability and productivity.
Rich is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant with an MBA from De Paul University and a BS in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University.
