Sr. Vice President, Corporate Development, Genzyme Corporation
Dr. Douglas has served as a Director since January 2002. Dr. Douglas has over 25 years of biotechnology experience having served in Corporate Development roles at Genzyme Corporation since 1989. He is currently Senior Vice President Corporate Development and a Corporate Officer of Genzyme Corporation. As a leader of Genzyme's Corporate Development team, Dr Douglas has been involved in numerous acquisitions, licenses, joint ventures and strategic alliances. From 1982 until its merger with Genzyme Corporation in 1989, Dr. Douglas served in Science and Corporate Development capacities at Integrated Genetics. Dr. Douglas was a postdoctoral fellow at the California Institute of Technology. He received a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in biochemistry and a B.S. in chemistry from the University of Michigan. |
