As Chief Technology Officer of Lavastorm, Rich is responsible for the technical vision of the company, and providing a short and long term strategy and the ability to communicate it to potential customers, partners, and other trade organizations. He is also responsible for providing the leadership internally to ensure the appropriate use of technology and "best practices". He served as a lead architect or co-lead architect on a number of one-of-a-kind Internet systems designed by Lavastorm. He has over 15 years of experience in software engineering, and joined Lavastorm in 1999. He has worked at Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, developing a real-time, hardware in the loop simulator testing the Trident missile guidance system. Rich also taught various Computer Science courses for over four years at both the undergraduate and graduate level at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He holds both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. |
