Richard S. Marcus is a member of the Financial Insitutions Practice Group in the Milwaukee office. With experience in areas of business as diverse as technology law, antitrust and franchising, Richard acts as general counsel to a number of closely held businesses. He also practices in the tax and intellectual property areas. Richard negotiates, drafts and reviews all types of contracts, and counsels businesses with respect to various business planning issues. He represents buyers and sellers in business acquisitions and joint ventures, advises business investors and lenders, and arranges financing for entrepreneurs. He represents technology companies as well as businesses that purchase or license technology systems and services. He also provides counsel for both companies and individuals in connection with tax disputes and litigation, equipment lease financing, and trademark and copyright issues. Richard graduated cum laude from Harvard University Law School after completing his preparatory education in English at the University of Wisconsin. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Computer Law Association.
