He has served as a Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Memorial Health Services, Long Beach; Stanford University Medical Center; and Baystate Health Services. A Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and Fellow and Life Member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Rydell also served as National President of HIMSS and was a founding Board Member and Vice Chairman of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.He is the co-author of the popular books, The Physician-Computer Connection and The Physician-Computer Conundrum. |
