He holds 28 patents in ophthalmology, including intraocular lens implant technology, corneal preservation, irrigation solutions, viscoelastic solutions, intracorneal lenses, and associated instruments. Dr. Lindstrom is the managing partner at Minnesota Eye Consultants, P.A., and conceptualized the Phillips Eye Institute Center for Teaching & Research, where he currently serves as medical director. He has co-edited three books on ophthalmology and has published over 300 articles in refereed journals, over 50 chapters in ophthalmology-related books and given 20 named lectures. He is an internationally recognized speaker and active on multiple editorial boards. Dr. Lindstrom received the first lifetime achievement award of the International Society of Refractive Surgery, where he has served as program chair, president-elect and president.
