Mr. Fowler is responsible for identifying new technical and business opportunities for SpectRx. These opportunities include new technologies, product lines or business acquisitions that are strategic to the Company's business. Mr. Fowler was formerly VP of Engineering at SpectRx where he oversaw the successful development of the BiliChek Non-invasive Bilirubin Analyzer.
Mr. Fowler has more than 20 years experience in developing and bringing to market electro-optical devices. Prior to joining SpectRx, Mr. Fowler was President of Laser Atlanta Optics, Inc. where he developed and launched a new, low-cost laser range finder. He has also held management positions with GEC Avionics, Inc. and General Dynamics. Mr. Fowler holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas.
